Borsh is one of most popular recipes in Russian, Ukrainian and Byelorussian cooking. This kind of soup is the first course that is very delicious as well as healthy. The cooking time is 1 hour approximately. From utensils you will need only boiler, knife for vegetables and preparation board.
Peel and shred the carrot, put it in beef cook water and hold on medium fire. During all cooking the water should boil just slightly. Then peel and shred the beets and put them in the soup too. Begin to peel and cut in slices potatoes and shred the cabbage, put these vegetables in the soup and keep boiling for 20 minutes. Then peel tomato and put it in the soup for five minutes, while it is boiling, shred the greens. Remove tomato, add greens, boil for two or three minutes, and that is all – the borsch is ready. Serve hot with sour cream and bread.
